Timothy Berners-Lee

Timothy Berners-Lee was a scientist most famous for inventing the World Wide Web. He was born in London, Englad and studied at Oxford.After he graduated he worked at CERN which is a large particle physiics laboratory. he invented procedures that allowed different computers to compute with one another. His goal for the internet was to allow people (specifically researchers) to share things and information easier. he wrote the first web server and web page browser. In 1989 he invented the WWW designed to help scientists and universities share information. He later founded the World Wide Web Comsortium in Massachusetts and is still the director.
